‘Primaries’, a solo show by Jack Greeley-Ward is now on view at Alice Black. This third instalment ‘RED’ completes the trilogy ‘Primaries’ in which, through immersive installations and animated videos, the artist portrays the battle of the mind, materialising the voices within his head.
The exhibition as a whole contemplates the colour red in the context of the search for self-understanding. In two split screens and two soundscapes, the colour is explored in the artist’s everyday surroundings and experiences. Beautifully mirroring the videos, a series of drawings are presented alongside them in organically shaped hand-moulded frames.
